A member of looped worms, these worms live in the soil. They are found in USA, Europe and many countries and prefer tol ive in puddles and marshes. They like muddy environments. Their difference from other worms is their body structure and size.

They have double sexes. They product sperm and eggs. But they need to mate for reproduction. In each cocoon, there are 1 to 21 worm eggs. When they go out of the eggs, baby worms look like yarn in light red color. After about 60 days, they get mature. Between May and July, each worm can lay about 17-25 cocoons. 100 units of mature worms can multiply their population up to 20-28 times.
